What to Expect

A simple Sunday gathered under the Word — songs and hymns, expository preaching, and the Lord’s Supper.

Arrival & Parking

Guests pull in at the east entrance and park in the parking lot; our Welcome Team will welcome you in at the front entrance.

The Service

Our services normally last about an hour and fifteen minutes. A typical Sunday follows this order:

  • Welcome / Announcements
  • Two songs/hymns
  • Scripture reading
  • One song/hymn
  • Expositional preaching
  • Celebration of the Lord’s Supper
  • Two songs/hymns
  • Doxology and Benediction

We preach from the English Standard Version (ESV).

Kids

Children stay in the worship service at both 9:00 and 10:45 and worship Jesus with their families.

Little Reformers (birth through 4 years) is available during the 9:00 AM service for families who prefer it. Kids sing, hear age-appropriate Bible teaching, enjoy a craft, and (toddlers) a snack. Volunteers are background-checked and MinistrySafe-trained; every room has security cameras. We also have a space for newborns and nursing mothers when privacy is needed.

What to Wear

Come as you are. You’ll find all kinds of shapes, styles, and personalities here. Whether you’re most comfortable in a t-shirt and jeans or business casual, we want you to be you. Most of our people tend to wear jeans and a t-shirt or collared shirt. When we come to worship, we want our hearts focused on Jesus — not whether shoes clash with an outfit.

The Lord’s Supper

All believers who have been baptized or are members of a gospel-preaching church are welcome to take the Lord’s Supper with us, including children who are also believers and have been baptized.

Accessibility

Handicapped parking is available at the front, and we’re glad to move and accommodate chairs as needed.

From Guest to Member

There’s no pressure and no ambush — just a clear path if you’d like to know us better and belong. Starting the membership process does not obligate you to join; it’s the best way to get to know our church.

  1. Visit on a Sunday

Come to either the 9:00 or 10:45 AM service. Stick around afterward — we’d love to meet you.

  2. Let us know you’re here

Fill out the form above or in the Reformation Baptist Church app so we can welcome you personally and answer any questions.

  3. Start the membership process

When you’re ready, begin online. Work through three modules: doctrine & bylaws, a sermon series on the church, and a short assessment.

  4. Meet with an elder

After you’ve filled out your assessment, an elder will set up your membership interview to hear about your testimony, the gospel, and baptism, and help you get plugged in to the church.

  5. Covenant & Community Groups

Commit to the Membership Covenant, then join a Community Group around Northwest Arkansas — where we work out the gospel in everyday life. Community Groups →

  6. Serve & Go

Members serve the church on the Lord's Day on a Serve Team (Welcome, Parking, Little Reformers, Safety, Sound, Prayer, Counting), and then go from the Lord's Day to share the good news of Jesus Christ with our neighbors across Northwest Arkansas. See Serve Teams →

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers drawn from our current FAQs page.

How old is Reformation Baptist Church?

Reformation Baptist Church held its first public service in February 2008 with a small core group of 15 people.

What are the services like?

Every aspect of our services is focused on Jesus Christ. From the songs we sing, to the sermons that are preached, to celebrating the Lord’s Supper — it’s all about Him. A typical Sunday service follows this format:

  • Welcome / Announcements
  • Two songs/hymns
  • Scripture reading
  • One song/hymn
  • Expositional preaching
  • Celebration of the Lord’s Supper
  • Two songs/hymns
  • Doxology and Benediction

Our services normally last about an hour and fifteen minutes. This format and time allow us to focus on the good news of what Jesus has done for us and our response of gratitude and worship of Him.

What if I’m not used to going to church?

Going somewhere new for the first time can be a nervous experience for anyone. At Reformation Baptist our intent is to let visitors know that they are welcomed, loved, and that we desire to get to know them — but we don’t want to come across as desperate, overwhelming, or fake. We want to thank you for giving us a shot and give you different avenues to pursue more information about church membership, Community Groups, and leadership without smothering you.

In a Sunday morning service we encourage everyone looking for a church home to become a member. Looking through our membership process online or in the Reformation Baptist Church app is the easiest way to get to know what our church is all about. Our goal is to be a church where you hear about Jesus, connect with other people, and have the option to pursue the church more without being ambushed or ignored as just another face in the crowd.

What about my kids?

Reformation Baptist Church is a family-friendly place that believes children are a blessing from God. Children stay in the worship service at both 9:00 and 10:45 and worship Jesus with their families. Little Reformers is our children’s ministry that gives age-appropriate teaching to children from infancy through 4 years old during the 9:00 AM service. (We also have a space for newborns and nursing mothers to use when needed for privacy.) Little Reformers’ goal is the same goal for our adult worship service: to focus on Jesus and worship Him alone.

What should I wear?

We invite you to come as you are. You’ll find all different kinds of shapes, styles, and personalities at Reformation Baptist Church. Whether you feel most comfortable worshiping Jesus in a t-shirt and jeans or in business casual, we want you to be you. When we come to worship, we want our hearts to be focused on Jesus and not whether or not your shoes clash with your outfit. Most of our people tend to wear jeans and a t-shirt or collared shirt.

How can I connect with other people?

At Reformation Baptist Church, two core philosophies drive how we function as a church body:

1. Corporate worship at our Sunday gatherings — where we come together as one body to sing to Jesus, hear His gospel preached through the proclamation of the Word of God, and take Communion remembering His death, burial, and resurrection on our behalf.

2. Church Membership. Our church exists to connect people in loving relationships that develop mature followers of Christ. Membership is how we walk alongside one another and spur each other on towards Christ. To do this, most of our members are in Community Groups. If Sunday mornings are the proclamation of the gospel, then Community Groups are where we work out the gospel in our lives. We have several groups that meet all over Northwest Arkansas.

Who leads Reformation Baptist Church?

Reformation Baptist Church is an elder-led and covenant-member-driven church. You can learn more about all of our leaders on the Leadership Team page.

Why Reformation Baptist?

At Reformation Baptist Church, we want to keep it simple and focus on “the great commandment.” Simply put, we want to love Jesus and love others. We want to be a church that takes this seriously and not get easily side-tracked by secondary things.

We are a Reformed Baptist church committed to the authority of Scripture, the historic Christian faith passed down in the 1689 London Baptist Confession, and the glory of God in all things.

To put it simply, what makes Reformation Baptist Church different? Jesus.
